The difference between Classical Chinese and Modern Chinese causes the specific characteristics about the teaching content of Classical Chinese. The teaching of Classical Chinese combines literature content as well as linguistic content. To analyze the teaching content is an important measure to solve the predicament of teaching Classical Chinese and the study of teaching. To review the teaching content of Classical Chinese in the history, the teaching content evolves from integrated phase in the ancient, transformation in the 19c to the status quo. The literature characteristics of the teaching content of Classical Chinese can be analyzed in text types, which include the text expressing self-emotion, the text putting forward the philosophy, the text convincing others, the text keeping records of events and characters. Each type has its own specific teaching content. Simultaneously, the language characteristics of the teaching content of Classical Chinese can be acquired by studying the basic knowledge of Classical Chinese. Recitation, vocabulary, grammar and literature general knowledge are required in the teaching content of Classical Chinese.
