Study On The National Cultural Protection Of Kashi In The Process Of Modernization

Kashi is located in Southwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.It is the only national historical and cultural city in Xinjiang; also the city which inhabited the most concentrated people of Uygur. Kashi is the city which have the most strong ethnic customs in Xinjiang. For a long time, Kashi had breded a gorgeous Uygur culture.and become one of the most inportant Uygur culture origin in Xinjiang.With the western development and the process of modernization, the ancient culture and modern society collide with each other. In this process, part of the culture begin to face the survival,development difficulties;on the contrary, another part of the culture continued to flourish in modern society.What is the future of ethnic culture in the process of modernization? It is very necessary to explore a new pattern and method of the culture's survival and development in new era.This paper attempts to answer the future of the ethnic culture,to explore the survival and development models of culture in the modernization process,by the investigation of Uygur culture in Kashi and the surrounding township.According to the needs of chapters, this paper was divided into six parts.The foreword consists of the background of research, the research perspective, the method of research, the research significance and so on. In the topic background, it is mainly talked about the protection methods of the ethnic culture in the world and domestic.Also,the trend of development of world culture is talked in this part.It is emphasized on the importance of cultural diversity and ethnic culture protection.Then,the research methods is outlined in this part.The second part has mainly carry on the introduction to Kashi geographical conditions, history, Economic and cultural type.In this part,Kashi ethnic culture is more important.It is divided into the material culture, and non-materialculture.Material culture includs cultural heritage, historical districts, enthnic costume;Non-materialculture includs folk literature,folk music song and dance, traditional national process technology and so on.The third part emphatically introduces the impact on Kashi culture by mondernization in the Process of Modernization.Then to study the opportunities and challenges that mondernization brings to ethnic culture from industrialization,urbanization,informatization aspects.The fourth part introduces the protection of the ethnic culture in Kashi since the founding of the PRC,as well as the status of Kashi.By the analysis of the author,then to point out the achievements in cultural protection and the shortcomings.At last,identify the root which produced such problem.In the fifth part, the author try to answer the problems existing in Kashi cultural protection process with the help of research results(at home or abroad) and personal thoughts.In the sixth part,the author concluded this paper's perspective.The author believes that:Modernization process is the general trend. National cultural protection should be fully carry forward the essence of traditional culture.Then,draw on the modernization results to achieve self-development in order to adapt to the needs in the new era.
