Religion, which is closely associated with the western ethnic minorities, has greatly influenced their values and behaviors and become the crux of their culture. In the process of modernization, the life values of the religion tend to be plural. It can be able to go with the reason and offer some good references to deal with the relationships between individual and collective interests, and that between humankind and the nature. It imposes diverse influences on the western ethnic minorities' customary laws, some of which can be compatible with modern society, and others not. Its effect on the economic life involves economic ethics and behavior including production and consumption, all of these have now changed somewhat. Religious groups and organizations have also timely adapted themselves to the modernization. However, many problems such as unfair interests distribution, the dissatisfied participation in political affairs, the appearance of religion splittism activities, the unsafe religious buildings, the imperfect religious legal system, and so on, are impeding the further development of the religion and the western ethnic minorities.
