It is a common phenomenon that there are always slow students in the class during the teaching of English.It is not an easy thing for the teacher to teach them English well. The paper is focusing on the slow students in the middle school and trying to survey the reasons why the slow students come into being,and try to find some ways to turn them into excellent students.The paper aims at searching for the source of the formation of the slow students and exploring the good ways to improve them so that they can learn English well and serve the society better in the future.During writing the paper,many articles about slow students have been collected and analyzed through reading the literature related to the slow students.In the course of the teaching of English,the reasons for the formation of slow students have been surveyed and analyzed in order to provide the materials of concrete evidence and analytical basis for mapping out effective countermeasures around the features of slow students and the causes of formation of slow students.Meanwhile the talks between slow students and the English teacher as well as the visit to the parents have led to the deep understanding about the formation of slow students.Through these ways,the first-hand specific materials which were obtained,have prepared the ground for finishing the paper smoothly.Through the research,there is a deep understanding about the formation of the slow students and the aim will be clear about the transformation of the slow students.It is believed that the slow students will finally become good students through the teacher' s instruction and guiding as well as their own efforts in spite of different causes.
