It is not unusual to find out that there are many slow math students in senirou high schools, and it seems that the number of these students is dramatically increasing. Therefore, there is much need of reducing and accommodating slow math students, not merely for the school teaching, but also for a sustainable while harmonious socialist society.Problems in math processing are attributed to many factors. Both such internal factors as interest, attitude, will , motivation and cognitive style and such external factors as educational modes, teaching approaches, learning environment and social value orientation have a great influence on students math learning. Assuming that students were born with the identical IQ for learning math, the paper figures out the most important and typical causes for slow math students by comparing the most "mathematically gifted" individual with a "mathematically retarded" individual and interviewing math teachers. The study shows that there are some different categories of slow math students, some of whom can be sorted into non-inteligence facors, and some can be sorted into improper learning ways, some into improper attribution factor, some into maladaptation to new enviroment and some into complex factors. In conclusion, the paper puts forward some practical suggestions to accommodate slow math stduents characterized by different factors. Accommodation measures include focusing on the cultivation of non intelligence, developing and improving learning ways, performing individual teaching and providing good learning environment.
