The development of the life-long education towards the learning society has become the trend of education in the world today. Adult education is the main channel to the learning society. In adult education activities, teaching and research are the main body, but management is the supporting system. Teachers'professionalization has been agreed. However, adult education administrators'professionalization lags behind teachers'professionalization, which makes the development of adult education non-coordinated. Adult education administrators'professionalization will promote adult education to play an important part in the process of the learning society.The dissertation attempts to start with the problem of adult education administrators'professionalization to find out the reason for the low level of its professionalization. Then the dissertation tries to explore the construction tactics of adult education administrators'professionalization. The dissertation studies adult education administrators'professionalization from the following aspects: definition, theoretical basis, analysis of the present situation and tactics. The paper attempts to make the conclusion scientific.The dissertation consists of five sections excluding the preface and the conclusion. Here is the summary of the dissertation:Firstly, it systematizes the essence of adult education administrators, professionalization and the professionalization of adult education administrators. The text illustrates the characteristics and standards of adult education administrators'professionalization from the following points:1)professional knowledge and skill,2)professional ethics,3)professional training,4)certification,5)professional association.Secondly, it explores the theoretical basis of the professionalization of adult education administrators, including sociology theory, teachers'professionalization theory and andragogy theory.Thirdly, it introduces the investigation of the professionalization of adult education administrators by questionnaire, and then points out the present problems. The main problem are the absence of professional knowledge and skills, the professional ethics anomie, the constrict certification limits and the insufficiency of personnel training.Fourthly, it analyzes the causes of the present problems, such as the obsolete idea of the government, society and administrators, the imperfect entry system, the backward training system and the ineffective training measures.Finally, it inquires into the tactics of how to build the professionalization of adult education administrators in China from the three perspectives: renovating the notions, perfecting the system and making innovations in practice.
