As the reform in educatvon is being deepened, quality education carried forward, the idea of"health first"gradually established in schools,life-long physical training pvpularied and"The Body-building prvgram for the Entire people carried ont, the cultiration of good habit in college students for physical training–a basil task of the physvcal educatvon in Chinese School-has now becvme more and more important .Physical education in the college, Which is the last Stage of physical education in schools, plays a role of connecting the past with the future, and therefore it is of great significance in preparing the students to work healthily for the comtry, and improring the quality of the Chinese people and quality of their life. On the other hand, to learn abvnt the college students, habit of physical training and to find ont the factors affecting the formation of good physical trining habit is the key to the fulfllment of the task of physical education in colleges. Adopting the methods of questionnair, mathematical statististics and Summing-up of documents, this paper makes inrestigations in sik colleges in the city of Guangxi Nannin about 2000 grade-2and4students, analyzing their physical training actirities and hadits and studying systemastically the factors that affect the cultiration of their physical training habit, that proriding useful informastion concerning the teaching reform in physical education, and raluable suggestions about the final cnltiration of physical training hadit in the college students.With reference to"School physical Regulations","National standard for physical Training", and the for deciding the pvpu;ation engayed in physical education, this paper defines physical training hbit in terms of freqnency, strength, time and duration of physical training, and sets the fononing items as the standard:training orer 3 times a week, orer 20 minits at a time, medium or abore medinm stregth that fits the trainee's physical condition, and 10-20moths'training duration. Andaccording to this standard the students are dirided into 3 grvups: The first group consists of those who hare acquired training habit; the Second groups (caned the participating gronp)"inclndes those who take part in physical training but hane not acqnired the hadit;the their gronp (caned non-training group) incldes those who do not take part in physical training. The inrestigation shows that the students with training habit account for 53.8%, those who take part in physical training but withont the habit account for 40% and the non-participation group accounts for 6.2%. And there are striking differences in sex: the percentage of the make students with training hadit is far more than female students, and not to mention of fact that most of students in the third groupar are girls. Also thene are differendes in grade: the higher the grade they are in, the lower the percentage of students with training habit while the percentage of students taking part in physical training but without the habit and those who do not take part in is going up.Through anarysis of and comparison between the investigating content ralated to the investigtion statitics about the there groups this paper makes further, profound and overall Study of the factors affecting the cultivation of physical training habit among the student in the city of guangxi nanning has come to conclusion: there are subjectire and enriromental factor. The former inclnde the need for physical training, the nwtires and interest in physical training, one's attitude (attitude) to physical training and his confidence in it. The latter include schoolfactors: sports ground, equipment snd facilities, the teaching quality of physical education, the atmosphere of physical training in the school campus; family factors: the cultural level and the attitude of the parents tonard physical training and the sudtle influence they exert on the cultirvation of training hadit in their children. There are still wnsumer factors: such as consumer factors,"influence of significant others"and the media factor which are also indispensable part of the affecting factors. In the loght of the abore mentioned factors and other roblems which need nrgent solution , this paper pnts toward some suggestions, thoughts and measures for carrying ont reform in teaching of physical education in colleges in Guangxi.
