A study is made of the characteristics of the teachers'occupational pressure of country Middle schools in Jinzhou area in Dalian by means of a questionnaire. Analysis shows that the occupational pressure mostly result from work load, social anticipation, interpersonal relationship, self-professional improvements ,pressure of teaching and exam,the factor of the students. Among the six areas the pressure from interpersonal relationship is relatively low while that from the other five areas is much heavier. One fact is obvious that the occupation as a teacher is of high pressure and all middle school teachers bear much pressure.The questionnaire and evaluation show that ten factors press teachers most, which mainly stem from the work load, pressure of teaching and exam and the factor of the students.Through analysis of the six dimensions mentioned above, it is made clear that teachers of different gender don't have significant differences ,teachers of different ages have significant differences in work load,interpersonal relationship and pressure of teaching and exam. The study also fouses on differencesbetween the pressure of the teachers in charge of and not in charge of the class,and the cadreman teacher and the teachers who are not cadreman.Finally suggestions are put forward to ease the pressure.
