This study is a qualitative research on the occupational pressure of teachers in nursery , primary and middle schools in Wuhan, aims to explore the source of pressure and the related influencing factors through: personal interview, group interview and narrative articles, and to make out the cause of teachers' occupational pressure comprehensively.The results indicate: teachers' occupational pressure is generated by the followed seven aspects: 1) the exorbitant high expectation from students' parents and society; 2) students' wearful emotion in study and activities violating principles; 3) ratio of entering the higher school and extra load on teaching; 4) the education management lacking humane consideration; 5) high paying and low returning on economy; 6) the system of keen competition and positional tile assessment; 7) the conflict between innovation education and traditional mode of thoughts. In addition, subjective factors, such as teachers' personality characteristic, their basic opinion on students and their inner satisfy influence occupational pressure as well. On the other hand, the results demonstrate that the essential reason that causes the unbearable burden in teachers' spirits is the unreasonable education system Just the same as students, teachers are the victims of present education system. Moreover, the difference between teacher and other vocations is that the influence caused by the practitioner whose mental are not healthy is partial and individual as concerned as other vocations, but it is definitely monolithic, social and far-reaching. Enhancing teacher's mental health is a systematic project and needs well negotiation and support from related departments.Some advises concerning how to relief pressure and enhance mental heath are given to education management departments and teachers. Discussions respecting reliability, validity and generality are given in this paper as well.
