The key of the computer aided teaching lies in the courseware. The traditional single-version courseware which has solidified teaching contents and model couldn't adapt to the flexible classroom teaching. Along with the construction of campus network in all types of schools, people have attached great importance to the network courseware because of its highly modular and flexible feature, which can run in the network. Speaking of general teachers, the difficulties which they meet lie in the lacks of source materials and technology in the courseware design.In view of this question, this article proposed an idea of designing updated network courseware based on HTML language. Take the network courseware of Grade one of senior high school Geological Disaster and Its Defence as an example to carry on network courseware design. At first, optimizing the courseware elements which were obtained by various ways, then managing it by way of ASP+Access database for retrieval. Secondly, carry on a preliminary analysis, take construct learning theory, dissemination theory and system theory as a guide, assemble the courseware elements by suing HTML with teacher's teaching design, construct a HTML file with multimedia teaching information, then, with the guidance of suing FLASH to read XML, organize many of such HTML files organically to form a large-scale network teaching software (network courseware). Teacher can use it to organize teaching activities flexibly. Students can choose their learning with it freely.
