Teaching of Chinese is not only an occupation but also a spirit, which is unselfish and can guide human beings through progressing all the time.The careful teaching plan and orderly teaching process is especially important in improving the students'Chinese education as well as establishing their lifelong study and developing individuality.The development of social economics and knowledge demands human beings to establish the idea of lifelong study. Due to the fast changing knowledge, reading is becoming more and more essential in learning how to learn and how to use knowledge. In addition, reading can also help people to adjust and perfect themselves to anything new. The education of Chinese is fundamental and modernizing. Therefore, we must make full use of Chinese to develop the potentials of our students in reading. In the teaching of reading, we should attach great importance to the demands required by the development of society and scientific research. As a result, a well-prepared teaching plan and a well-organized teaching process is of great importance in better cultivating the students.The whole teaching system of Chinese reading to high school students is put forward on such occasion, when Chinese reading is considered part ofsocial development and course reform. The system attaches importance to the learners as well as to the law of reading skill. And the purposes of the course and the improvements of the students are cultivated gradually and the aims of reading are set step by step. Apart from this, the importance, the success and the procedure of system are still to research in the teaching practice.The system includes three stages: the first stage, the second stage and the third stage. The first stage is in senior grade one, which focuses on accumulating cognitive reading materials. The purpose of which is to encourage the interests of the students, form the good reading habits, gather information, learn reading skills and improve the reading comprehension of the text. The second stage is in senior grade two, which focuses on appreciating reading materials. The purpose of which is to cultivate the students'appreciation, develop their appeal to reading, enrich their spirit life and form their personality. The third stage is in senior grade three, which focuses on studying critical reading materials. The purpose of which is to develop the students'critical thinking, help them learn to find problems and raise opinions, analyze the text as well as to elucidate, question and comment the text from various angles and dimensions.The whole teaching system of Chinese reading to high school students emphasizes the function of the whole is bigger than the total of parts. Thewhole teaching is based on the students to develop one course design, which emphasizes both the realization of the whole aim and the systematization of the knowledge and skills. And the whole teaching system is carried out step by step and those steps are well related and increased progressively. So the whole teaching system of Chinese reading to high school students plays an important role in accumulating, consolidating and developing knowledge in high school education.
