Since the promulgation of the Ordinary High School Chinese Curriculum Standard(Experiment)in 2003,there are several versions of the high school Chinese Textbooks.The basic structure of Chinese textbook in middle school consists of four systems:model essay system,knowledge system,exercise system and reading aid system.The reading aid system is one of the constituent elements of Chinese textbooks,and the new curriculum reform emphasizes the cultivation of students’ self-study ability.This thesis is compared with the PEP Senior Chinese Textbooks and the Chinese Textbooks published by Taiwan Lungteng Cultural Co.,Ltd.,mainly from the comparision of these two sets of textbooks’ edit information,topic explaination & author introduction,illustration,note and other aspects.We can find out the senior Chinese Textbooks’ similarities and differences between Taiwan and mainland China,which can provide some inspiration and suggestion for the compilation of the Senior High School Chinese textbooks.
