Network technique which has become the main flow because of sharability multimedia interactivity of resources, is the advanced technology in the modern educational technology field. At the same time, network extremely expands the space of education by its advanced technology, changes the relationship between learning and teaching, and promotes the students'interests efficiency on learning unexpectedly. The student-oriented teaching model based on the network is attacking the traditional teaching model.The extensive application of network technique in the network-based education, provides a great material base for the research;Studying and education is a sustained process in people's life. With the prosperity of knowledge economy, the idea that the popularization of higher education and life-long education has become the trend of social development has been accepted by the common people, providing a great social base for the research;The continual development and maturation of the network-based educational theory at home and abroad, provides the important theoretic support for the research.The research is carried out from the new phenomena in higher education brought by Internet, and is studied in the background of the experimental teaching modes in universities and colleges. Firstly, the author studies the current literature situation and the related concepts of network-based education , and analyses the existing challenges and problems in the background of network-based education. In order to meliorate the university teaching methods(UTMs), it suggests that it is necessary to optimize the teaching model in the university according to the requirement of the knowledge economy for the talent' qualities, and conduct under the guidance of scientific teaching theory. Secondly, it compares the traditional teaching model with the network teaching model and gives several relationships in teaching model which should be handled well in the background of network-based education, establishing the base of network teaching model. Finally, through theoretical researching and practical examinations , it makes a comparison between two typical Tele-teaching modes and creats a typical UTM of "three dimensions" based upon the network-based education. The UTM of "three dimensions" consists of three processes of "self-study, helping to study and testing", among which there is an inter-related, inter-encouraged and inter-suited relationship. What's more, this teaching mode is specifically operatedand performed in the course of "Environment and Health".
