| The working conditions in the contemporary era are mainly characteristic of their rapid change, new technology and informatization. Everyone is aware that there is too much new knowledge and information to gain because his knowledge gained from schooling can not keep up with the pace of knowledge updates. In a sense, more and more people come to realize that if they desire to be top, they will have to learn how to learn, think, constantly gain new knowledge, etc, which demands them to understand the value of life-long learning, change their leaning and learn in an autonomous way..Currently, a scientific technology, which is based on computer technology and whose main parts are network and communication technologies, springs up globally, attracting world-wide attention. The traditional media, including books, newspapers, magazines, broadcasts, TVs and movies, is encountering unprecedented challenges, and also, an enormous impact is being made on its theory and manner of communication. This is the so-called computer-mediated communication.. The opening-up of computer-mediated communication and distance education are accepted as a form in which informative and corresponding technologies will be applied for life-long education and learning, a form in which the development of human resources will be accelerated and the future development of the knowledge economy will be promoted, and a form which will be vastly prospective in the 21st century.Owing to computer-mediated communication, the way of communication between persons is extended, traditional concepts of communication are rewritten, and educational boundaries are expanded, and meanwhile one's work, life, educational and leaning manners are changed as well. What's more, one's interest, efficiency and initiative in learning are enhanced, and in this way one's ability of autonomous learning is fostered.All these will provide a good environment and a technical support for integration of computer mediated communication with autonomous learning. Thus, the integration is meaningful in theory and practice.Nowadays, researches into network media and teaching are comparatively universal, and some of them are conducted thoroughly. However, only theories, ideas, models, strategies, methods, means and so on are involved in teaching and learning, and few areconcerned about the integration of network with autonomous learning. This thesis tries to focus on the way-of the network communication technology from the perspective of the integration of network with autonomous learning, and an effective link under the framework of constructivism learning theory, and foundation of models concerned, expecting to establish an active, stable, harmonious and easliy-operated outlook on the integration of network with autonomous learning, and offering some theoretical enlightenment and practical suggestions for teaching practice. |
