ICT utilization in the educational sector is now very necessary.In regard to ICT,underdeveloped nations like Djibouti are weak.The integration and the application of technology in teaching require ability as well as professionals.This study,therefore,deals with how ICT was integrated into secondary schools in Djibouti.It also identified the professional use of technology among teachers and their acquaintances and their magnitudes of utilizing these ICT facilities.The literature review highlights how important technology is to the current educational system and the methods used to introduce ICT into classrooms.The only nation included in this study is Djibouti.To learn more about the qualification of teachers for secondary schools as well as their personal backgrounds,use of ICT and the internet,and opinions on computer use and externship,samples and questions were gathered from them and delivered online using a software.Teachers’ responses to the questionnaire were gathered.Sixty respondents from secondary schools in total were chosen to take part in the study.Data were analyzed qualitatively.A top-down coding approach and thematic analysis were used to describe the responses from the questionnaires.The research determined that integrating ICT in secondary institutions in Djibouti is a strategy that complies with the general directives of the President of the Republic "Ismael Omar Guelleh" as part of his project for inclusive education.As technology makes it simpler for teachers to conduct their courses,the majority of respondents who answered question one agreed that integrating technology into secondary schools will facilitate teaching and learning.It was recommended that technology works best when it unites people(Matt Mullenweg).Furthermore,ICT has to be used in a mass promotion for quality inclusive education for students,materials such as tablets,smart boards,and laptops needed to be provided in all schools,and the contribution should be totally exposed to the Ministry of Education of Djibouti and teachers who are developing pedagogy and contributing in education in this new era. |
