Zhu Ziqing is a famous Chinese educationist in the early 20th century. He was engaged in teaching & researching on Chinese language and literature in some high schools and universities. He contributed enormously to found the system of modern Chinese, by his Chinese teaching and theory researching. With rich contents and deeply standpoints, his Chinese teaching thought is a precious inheritance in our modern history of Chinese teaching. Especially, many standpoints have aging glorious and strongly consciousness until today. However, they haven' t been valued because of many reasons for a long time. Need to be pointed out, few people researched on the field from Zhu Ziqing passing away (1948) to 1980s, even today. Many results only stayed on sorting & summarising historical data. It is greatful meaning of restudying and analysing his views, combining with educational background of today, for thinking teaching reform & seeking more reasonable outlet. According to Marxism, referring to the pedagogical theory of the time and correlative educational & literature psychology, deriving the spirit of the new course, this thesis anatomys Zhu Ziqing' s reading teaching thoughts and opens out its main body: the direction is training students' knowing & appreciating skill, classical training is main contents and reading is the major way on teaching .The thesis includes three chapters.Chapter one: "Knowing and Appreciating" . Zhu Ziqing said, "Knowing and appreciating are the basilic training course of Chinese curriculum in high school. " It is vital to train students' knowing and appreciating. For the convenience of the dissertation, this chapter is divided into two parts.1. "Knowing" is the foundation of the reading teaching. It emphases four aspects on the way to train students' knowing. 2. "Appreciating" is the sublimation of the reading teaching. It is analysed from its connotation, the relation to knowing and to sensibility, and its means.Chapter two: "the Classical Training" . From the era, Zhu Ziqing put forward, "the classical training should be the essential curricula beyond middling education. " In this chapter, we first definite the aging background of the classical training , and then we expound its necessity from social request, the goal of Chinese education, students' self and Chinese teaching material. Finally, we present the classical training and point out its significance of guiding the classical reading today.Chapter three: "the Using of Reading" . From his three tasks of reading teaching, Zhu Ziqing opened out we should pay attention to "reading" ??"The using of reading is very important. We should particularly emphasizeit on Chinese teaching. "- in order to accomplish these tasks and advancestudents' reading ability. "Reading" always runs through the wholethoughts of Zhu Ziqing' s reading teaching. Here, the thesis emphases on"elocnting" and "reciting" , and recommends its "explaining" and"peruseling" incidentally. Finally, my attitudes to Zhu Ziqing' s readingteaching.The thesis uses the correlative knowledge of pedagogy, psychology & literature and close combines with the spirit of Chinese new course. The innovation of the thesis is setting forth the animate viewpoints of Zhu Ziqing' reading teaching thoughts, endueing its vitality in order to improve present reformation of reading teaching.
