Gender difference is one of the important factors that affects equality of educational opportunity. The present research situation indicates that gender difference is common in the textbook at home and abroad.Textbook is the important carrier of socio-cultural and medium of the gender culture framework.This study uses a gender culture perspective to study the Chinese textbook for high schools.By using the methods of quantitative statistics and text analysis,the gender difference can be easily found in the Chinese textbook.It is mainly characterized by gender ratio,gender role,gender position and gender cognition. There are many reasons for the gender difference in the Chinese textbook.And the gender difference can result in many ill effects.In order to solve the problem and promote fair of education and society,this article gives some advice to improve the situation.The paper concludes six parts.Foreword:This part mainly introduce the background,objectives, methods and value of the gender researcher in the textbook.Part one:This part firstly explains two core conceptions of gender and gender culture,then discusses the process of the formation of gender culture,and finally introduce the gender culture in the ancient China.Part two:This part mainly discusses the gender culture in the textbook. Firstly this part is the quantitative analysis of gender ratios in the textbook for Chinese, and then is the qualitative analysis of gender role in the textbook for Chinese, finally make a summary of gender difference.In this part, seven versions of textbook for Chinese are the objects of this study.Part three:This part looks into the causes of gender difference in the textbook for Chinese. The proximate cause is the Personal elements of the compilers for the Chinese textbook.The basic reason is the social and cultural matters, includes traditional gender culture and the present state of gender culture.Part four:This part discusses on influencing factors of the gender difference in the textbook for Chinese. It not only affects the students'formation of gender Culture Outlook,but also affects the development of the country and society.Part five:This part researches the improvement countermeasures of the gender difference in the textbook for Chinese. The paper puts forward five measures for the problem of gender difference, including social values,policy,editor,diversification and teaching.
