As an important part of high school education and essential foundation of social and economic development in China, secondary vocational education is conducted on the basis of nine-year compulsory education, and shoulder the important task of fostering billions of skilled talents and high quality workers. Communist Party of China and the State Council have set a series of guidelines and policies to develop rapidly secondary vocational education, so secondary vocational education enters a new opportunity period. In the meanwhile, secondary vocational education encounters a new developmental bottleneck and faces numerous problems.In some parts of China, losing of the secondary vocational school students has become worse and has the spreading tendency. To prevent losing of the students, it will be an effective way for schools to increase vocational education attraction by setting proper curriculum. Accomplishing this will also has significant meaning for fostering large numbers of high quality and skilled talents, and for satisfying the needs of economic development, promoting the social development between harmony and stability and realizing educational equity.The aim of this thesis is to combine curriculum with students'losing in secondary vocational schools, and to find the essential causes of students'losing from the angle of schools. It is suggested that setting proper curriculum in secondary vocational schools be one of the countermeasures to prevent the losing of the students. Put forward a proposal of reforming the curriculum design of secondary vocational schools to prevent the loss of the students.This thesis begins with the related basic concepts such as vocational education, secondary vocational education, losing students, students' losing rate, curriculum, setting of the curriculum and etc.Secondly, according to the data based on Hunan Information Engineering School and two other secondary vocational schools, stated the situation of the loss of the students, the direction of the loss, the influence of the loss and so on. Pointed out that the unreasonable curriculum design of secondary vocationary schools is the basic reason by investigating and analysing the reason of the loss of students. And analysed the current situation of the curriculum design of secondary vocational schools and its effect on the loss of students in depth.Thirdly, discussed the problem about reforming the curriculum design of secondary vocational schools both in theory and in practice. In order to solve the problem of the loss of students, conceived the design of professional skills curriculum of secondary vocational schools, public curriculum, core curriculum and task-leading curriculum by learning form German's dual system of education model.Lastly, stated the effect of the curriculum design of secondary vocational schools on the loss of students. The author studies hard the theories of pedagogy, sociology, pedagogic psychology, curriculum theory and related knowledge about guidelines, policies and legal software of vocational educational in China, seizes the wide background of rapid developing secondary vocational education, and tries to apply the above related knowledge and theories to this thesis. This thesis mainly employs such methods as documentation method, questionnaire method, interview method, logical analysis, contrastive analysis and so on.
