promulgated by the ministry of education on July 2001 indicates that china's kindergarten education reform has entered a new historical period. Our kindergarten curriculum will historically change from focusing on the study of science and knowledge to concentrating on the development of each child. It is one of the remarkable characteristics of the implementation of. Traditional arts education of children is a stereotype. It attaches importance to impart the arts knowledge and skills and ignore the development of the creative potentiality. It attaches importance to the result of arts activities and neglect the training of the taste. It attaches importance to the subject-specific teaching and neglect the integration among the arts activities, forms and other areas. The main reason for it is that it hasn't the comprehensive characteristics in the art education of children, so it seriously impacts on the effectiveness of art education and violates the original intention that trains the comprehensive quality of children in the art education. Therefore, laying stress on the comprehensiveness of the art education of children is the breakthrough point of art curriculum reform.In the first part of this paper, it summarizes the theories of the comprehensive art courses from two aspects, namely the basic idea and significance. The second part is the rethink of construction and practice on the comprehensive art course. It indicates the theoretical basis of comprehensive art education, inspiration from the comparison between Chinese children and American children, disadvantage of traditional art education, and misunderstanding in practice about the comprehensive art courses. The third part discusses the implementation strategy of comprehensive art courses which integrates the teaching cases. Firstly, the implementation of comprehensive art education courses attaches importance to implement comprehensiveness on three aspects. Secondly, we should constantly update the education concepts in the process of the implementation of comprehensive art education courses. Thirdly, we should reform the classroom teaching in the process of the implementation of comprehensive art education courses. Fourthly, we should constantly improve the teachers' quality and ability in the process of the implementation of comprehensive art education courses. Fifthly, we should create the art of learning environment in the process of the implementation of comprehensive art education courses. Sixthly, we must vigorously promote our cooperation in the process of the implementation of comprehensive art education courses.
