The importance of the language sense decides that we must pay high attention to the development of language sense and promote the efficiency in Chinese reading class. The essay first illustrates that importance, analyzes the characteristics of language sense and envisions an ideal teaching context of language sense. It then analyzes several types of problems that teachers have encountered in the process of helping their students to develop the language sense in their reading classes, which are listed as follows: The teachers'failure to evaluate the students'level of language sense properly; The teachers'monotonous method in the teaching of language sense; The teachers'inability to figure out the practical breakthrough of language sense enhancement. In an attempt to clarify the target, to quest for the implement and to find efficient strategies of language sense teaching in class, the body of this essay expounds on various problems that teachers come across in their reading classes. Through an analysis of the 3 levels of language sense enhancement and many specific teaching cases, the last part of the essay proves the feasibility of language sense enhancement and finds solutions to promote the efficiency in the teaching of reading in upper primary school, so as to ensure that it can be implemented in an effective way.
