Middle school students are in the critical period of individual development. Because of the different speeds of physical and mental development, they are prone to imbalance. This period is the problem period of individual psychology and behavior. The object of this study points to the middle school students in Yanji city. Left-behind middle school students are to point to the junior middle school stage's stay behind children. This study started around the comparison of the Left and the non-Left middle school students. Internet addiction disorder is created accompanied by the arrival of the Internet age, how the condition of middle school students IAD like? Self-identity is a term used to describe the main tasks of psychological development and personality maturation during adolescence, how the condition of middle school students self identity like? Social support is an important external factor that affects individual physical and mental development, especially for those disadvantaged individuals, social support is an important coping resources. What's the relationship among social support, Self-identity and IAD? This study investigated the impact of middle school students'internal self-identity, and external social support to IAD, to explore the status of the three, as well as the relationship between them. Meantime we had done a comparison between left-behind and non left-behind middle school students. These efforts had a reference value for the integration, coordination of family, school and community educational activities and promoting the healthy growth of middle school students.This paper mainly used the ways of literature, questionnaire survey, and statistical methods. Questionnaire survey randomly selected samples from 4 middle schools in Yanji City, totally 12 classes from grade one to grade three. A total of 500 questionnaires were sent, and effective questionnaires were 462. Using descriptive statistical methods, independent sample t test, correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis and other methods of statistical to analysis the survey data, the conclusions are as follows:1. Middle school students'IAD rate is 9.74%, left-behind middle school students'IAD rate is 12.23%, and non left-behind middle school students'IAD rate is 8.03%.2. There were significant differences between left-behind and non left-behind middle school students'IAD. Left-behind middle school students are more likely to get IAD than non left-behind middle school students.3. There were no significant differences between left-behind and non left-behind middle school students'social support. However the left-behind middle school students'means of social support total scores and its three dimensions'scores are lower than non left-behind middle school students'.4. There were significant differences between left-behind and non left-behind middle school students'Self identity status. Left-behind middle school students'Self identity status mean is lower than non left-behind middle school students'.5. Middle school students'social support and self-identity status are both significantly negatively related to IAD, social support and self-identity can partly predict the status of middle school students in IAD.6. Middle school students'self-identity and social support showed a significant positive correlation.
