Social support has vital impact on aloneness emotion experience.While left-behind middle school students have become a big group in rural areas with urbanization development in China,but few studies have focused on the effect and mechanism of social support on aloneness emotion experience for left-behind middle school students in rural areas.The present study explored the the effect and mechanism of social support on aloneness emotion experience for left-behind middle school students in rural areas from viewpoint of emotion regulation strategy.We chose 12-17-year-old middle school students as subjects,and explored the relation between emotion regulation strategy(cognitive reappraisal strategy and expressive suppression strategy),social support levels(family support,friends support and others support)and aloneness emotion experience.Results found that there is a significant positive correlation between family support and,friends support,other support and cognitive reappraisal strategy;a significant negative correlation between family support and aloneness emotion experience;an insignificant negative correlation between family support and expression suppression strategy.Besides,found a significant positive correlation between friends support and family support,others support and cognitive reappraisal strategy;a significant negative correlation between friends support and aloneness emotion experience;an insignificant negative correlation between friends support and expression suppression strategy.Meanwhile,found a significant positive correlation between others support and family support,friends support and cognitive appraisal strategy;a significant negative correlation between others support and aloneness emotion experience;an insignificant negative correlation between others support and expression suppression strategy.Moreover,found an insignificant correlation between cognitive reappraisal strategy and expression suppression strategy;a significant positive correlation between cognitive reappraisal strategy and aloneness emotion experience.And we also found a significant positive correlation between repression suppression strategy and aloneness emotion experience.Furthermore,found that cognitive reappraisal strategy played a mediating effect between social support and aloneness emotion experience through mediation analysis.
