Wang Zhuo was an influential literati and slyricsentist in the southern Song dynasty. He acquired some achievements in many fields: he wrote many lliterary works, and wrote the first study monograph, named talk on will at Biji, which has plenty value in both date and academic. In addition, he also wrote the first monograph about sugar technology, named treatise on sugarcane plantingand processing, which studied manufacturing process of sugar systematically. Obviously, Wangzhuo was got accomplishment at many aspects. The phenomenon is so pity that the study on Wang Zhuo at present mainly discusses on the investigation of talk on will at Biji, but not the other aspects such as his poems, lyrics, essays or life story and experience. However, it is also transmit information to us that there is a great space about investigation of Wang Zhuo.This paper, by use of traditional research method of understanding a work from the author and his history, investigates Wang Zhou's life, analyzes his literature thought, discuss the content of Wang Zhou's literature works and artistic style etc. This paper includes four chapters:Chapter 1.Wang Zhuo's life and his friends. There are elaborately analysis on Wang Zhuo's time of birth and die, straving to draw a more reasonable conclusion about it. Hopefully it will help the further understand the relationship between Wang Zhuo's thought and his hermitage .Chapter 2. Literature ideas and advocations.Firstly, this chapter explains the sources of his literature ideas, traditional"gentle and sincerity"aesthetic ideas and revolutionary ideas from Su Shi. Secondly, concludes his literature advocations on lyrics, which include opinions on lyrics of"poem lyrics first, sheng lv second", aesthetic ideas of"elegant and refined", supporting Su Shi of critilyricszing vanities in lyrics. And then, this chapter interprets his minds in creation.Chapter 3. Commentaries on his poem. This chapter classifies his poem into different styles: exchange poems, painting poems, reflection poems, and reveals his own personalities by understanding these poem.Chapter 4. His lyrics and artistic presentation technique. This chapter describes the pluralism style in his lyrics, and the contradictions between his ideas and works, from which a common attitude on lyrics in Song dynasty can be observed - in favor of but no courage to speak out about the favor.
