| Chao Buzhi was one famous litterateur of North Song Dynasty's in mid-last term. Though bearing with full idealities to get people in redemption and struggling get into worldly affairs positively, and possessed the practical spirit to go all out, he was dismissed from the office and discarded from the politic core three times in his whole life for tutored by Su Shi and entangled into the swirl of contending for hegemony between new and old political party. Through these experiences and strikes, Chao's mind and body was wrecked hardly. Within disappointment and helplessness, he made the decision difficultly to go back to the home and to find a composed settlement for his exhausted and dolorous heart. After the political struggle's up and down and returning to the home, Chao had more feelings to the life and wrote many good poems and verses in excellent level. This paper is divided into two parts: in the first part, discuss Chao how to form idea of the return and its representations from three aspects, such as classical, present and individual personalities; in the second part, analysis the thought and idea in Chao's poems and verses. In this part, mainly choose Chao's poems and verses which reflected considering return, chanting return and signing return parts to reason its deep thoughts and most writings have higher taste value and epistemology value; and analysis the art characters of Chao's poems and verses. In general, based on stepping and modeling Su Shi and self experiences and feelings, Chao 's poems and verses combined with deep sorrow and complain in Chuci, formed personal art characters; and especially the sensibilities of the emotional signing and silent sobbing in his writings produced certain influences to the of-the-time and afterworld writers.
