Wang Zhuo And Literary Creation Research

Wang Zhuo is a writer, a critic, and also a scientist, living at the end of thenorthern Song and the beginning of the Southern Song dynasty. His whole life wasfull of great works, not only wrote a large number of literary works, but also wrote abook on poetry theory, named Bi Ji Man Zhi, which is the frist systematic lyric bookin our history and of great material as well as academic value. Besides, his TangShuang Pu is a sugar technological expertise, which illustrates a set of processes ofproduction sucrose in Sui Ning, and also has important scientific value. However,such a scholar as Wang Zhuo, who is outstanding in many aspects, is mostlyresearched in his Bi Ji Man Zhi, but lack of comprehensive study in his literarycreation and its thought, what is more, these studies exist many shortages, too.This article will be based on the text, by use of traditional research method tostudy Wang Zhuo’s life experience and thoughts, meanwhile this article will also dosome comprehensive and entire research about his existing poetries and Bi Ji Man Zhi,to show the whole picture of Wang Zhuo and his literary creation. This paper includesfour chapters:The first chapter is Wang Zhuo’s life and thought. This chapter is mainly aboutthe date of Wang Zhuo. Firstly, I will analyze the research results about it from severalcontemporary scholars in detail, combined with some views of a number of researchpapers, trying to get a reasonable conclusion. Besides, this chapter will also link WangZhuo’s literary creation to the historical background and cultural background of hisage; aim to make a more thorough combing of his thoughts and attitude towards life.The second chapter is about Wang Zhuo’s poetry creation. This chapter will startfrom three aspects of Wang Zhuo’s poetry, which are “Fun of responsorial””Voiceoutside the world”, and” tune of elegance”. Then there will be a detailed analysisand discussion of the artistic characteristics Wang Zhuo’s existing poetry.The third chapter is about Wang Zhuo’s poetic essay and writing. This chapterwill first analyze and dissertate the content and artistic features of Wang Zhuo’s fiveexisting poetic essays and writings to explore Wang Zhuo’s attitude towards poeticessay creation. Secondly, by using the method of classification to make some comprehensive to revealing of his sixteen existing proses,whose final aim is toexamine his advocation about literary creation.The fourth chapter is about Wang Zhuo’s lyrics and its theory. This chapter willbegin with the analysis and statement of the ideological and characteristics in WangZhuo’s existing lyrics, after that this chapter will also include the research of the mainlyric views in his Bi Ji Man Zhi. Eventually, through comparing Wang Zhuo’s viewsin lyric theory with the attitude to lyric creation to scan the mostly consistency,butsometimes contradictory relationship between the two.
