Xingtai Earthquake And The Study Of Earthquake Fighting & Disaster Relief

The Xingtai Earthquake was the first destructive earthquake that took place in densely populated area of China mainland since the establishment of PRC.The earthquake has brought huge loss to people's production and life.After the earthquake happened,the central government and the state council paid great solicitude to the people in the disaster area. Premier of the State Council Zhou Enlai visited the area 3 times successively and conducted critical instruction.The local government and army took active action in fighting against earthquake and relieving disaster.Aid from all across the nation was offered to the area.The practice in this earthquake's fighting has provided a model for reference in earthquake prevention and disaster relief.And the prevention work after the earthquake has established a foundation for the long term development of earthquake prevention in China, opened a new page of earthquake prediction.And it's a milestone in China's earthquake prevention disaster relief.The main body of the thesis consists of five parts:1.Demonstrate the damage of the earthquake and the huge impact on people's life, in 3 aspects of the Xingtai earthquake:the character,direct loss and secondary disaster,2.Demonstrate the great effort and the effective leadership,organization and assignment of the central & local government and army,to fight against the earthquake.3.Show perseverance of the people's in disaster area,through the lives saving, living subsidy,and the 3 stages in disaster relief:distribution of disaster relief materials, production recovery and post-disaster reconstruction.4.Summarize the experience and the lesson learned from the earthquake fighting, to inspire us in future's earthquake prevention and disaster relief5.Demonstrate the important status of the Xingtai earthquake in China's scientific expedition and prediction.
