Yunnan province is situated in southwest border of China, and locates at the eastside of the Indian Ocean plate and Eurasian plate collision zone.Geological structureis complex,and crustal movement is intense and the earthquake happened frequently.Based on the official documents and local historical data of earthquake disasters inYunnan province in Qing dynasty, this paper arrangs and studies the earthquake ofYunnan province in Qing dynasty systematically.This article elaborates the earthquake situation and social response of Yunnan inQing dynasty from the following four chapters.The first chapter mainly through"Yunnan provincial almanac in Qing dynasty" and historical data of local chronicles,shows overall seismic profiles and the earthquake distribution in each year and eachregion of Yunnan in Qing dynasty in the form of figures and tables after analysis. Thesecond chapter makes understand of a series of profiles of population casualties,structure damage,surface structure damage,and psychological trauma to peoplecaused by earthquake in Yunnan on the basis of memorials,official archives and localhistorical data of Yunnan in the qing dynasty.The third chapter analyzes the timelyrelief influencing factors of Yunnan province after the earthquake, such as historicalfactors, traffic conditions, ethnic factors and so on.And focuses on the relief processand the relief routine of the central and local government,and some importantmeasures which its main bodies and individuals took to participate in disaster reliefafter the quake in Yunnan in Qing dynasty.The last chapter tentatively summed up thejuche idea,disaster relief system and the trend of the government disaster relief effortof Yunnan earthquake relief.
