Since the the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, voluntary organizations and volunteers show great enthusiasm and play an important role in public affairs especially after emergency disasters, and get more and more attentions. By means of literature searching, the author finds that interiorly there is still no correlational researchs which take volunteers as object of study and talk about PTSD (Posttraumatic stress disorder). Therefore the author tested volunteers from Chongqing to study PTSD. In the tests the author found out volunteers' status of PTSD and the influence factors. The research data based on these tests is of great significance for people to move forward step of PTSD studies, to organize and administrate volunteers after emergency disasters, and to help them improve their service effects. The author collects the data by literature searching, questionnaire and interview, then analyses the data using SPSS 17.0 by description, bivariate correlation and MLR (Multiple Linear Regression), etc, in order to comprehend volunteers' status of PTSD, and explore volunteers' basic informations and cognitive processing styles, and the relationship between volunteers'personality traits and PTSD. The measurement tables used included basic information questionnaire, incident impact questionnaire, Schwartz's Value Inventory, and simple 5EPQ personality questionnaire. From January to March in 2010, the author gave out 300 questionnaires to organization of Chongqing Youth League Committee, Media and other non-governmental organizations, and finally took back 195 of them including 163 effective ones. The Research demonstrates:(1) The volunteers trend to be younger and highly-educated, and their participant modes diversify. Governmental organizations are still primary, at the same time non-governmental organizations are developing rapidly in our country. (2) After 19 months of Wenchuan earthquake,54.6% of the volunteers still show the apparent symptom of PTSD, and even suffer from chronic PTSD. (3) It is easier for younger volunteers to catch PTSD, especially the symptom of avoidance behaviour. There are significant differences of their psychological counseling trainings, symptom of PTSD, and approbation from sufferers before, in, and after their service work. (5) The volunteers who have firmly confidence in their self-competence are much easier to be exerted by negative impact, and who possess negative self-competence will strengthen their immanent negative concept. They both can calculate symptom of PTSD, and it is easier for male volunteers to catch symptom of PTSD because of pressure from social expectation. (6) EPQ-E,EPQ-N and PTSD have close relations. Even EPQ-E of PTSD group and average value have positive calculation, while EPQ-N and male volunteers' average value have negative calculation, so do EPQ-N and avoidance symptoms affect.
