This thesis sets out to make investigation,statistics and analysis on the E words in Duanyucai's Shuowenjiezizhu,deals with DuanShi's methods on the E words' analysis, so as to make a more in-depth understanding of their work,and a better understanding of his language study in the achievement of development and evolution of Chinese characters in the study of the phenomenon to provide new information.The paper consists of a total of six parts.Introduction,the main contents include the following:Duanzhu research overview;The history and current situation of the E words study;The meaning,the methods and the scope of the E words study in Duanzhu.The first chapter,the type of the E words in Duanzhu.The E words pointed and inspected by DuanShi has been divided into four categories,the E words in the words interpreted,the E words in the interpreting words,the words in the classics cited by Shuowen,and the words in the related books.The second Chapter,the causes of formation of the E words said by Duanzhu.The third Chapter,DuanYucai's methods on the determinant of the E words.The fourth Chapter,the contribution and lack of the E characters said by Duanzhu.There is a more objective understanding on Duanshi's research through talking about the achievements and shortcomings of the E words said by DuanShi.In conclusion,sum up the full text.
