| As a basic and receptive test in language testing. the listening comprehension test is always playing a significant role whose importance has recently been drawing wide attention. Being one important component in listening comprehension test, the passage listening comprehension has not only confused the students, but it is also influenced by the students'listening styles and its test methods. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to deeply probe into the interactive influence of score between the students' different listening styles and passage listening comprehension test methods and question types in empirical way.This study centers around the following two research questions:1) In passage listening comprehension test. how are the interactive influence of score between the students'different listening styles and the different passage listening test methods? 2) how are the interactive influence of score between the students'different listening styles and the question types in the passage listening test?The subjects in this study are 40 non-English majored juniors with College English Test Band 6 certificates from a normal college in Shanxi Province. During this research, the subjects were firstly asked to listen to three passages quoted from CET6 along with the self-report and listening strategies-based questionnaires so as to divide their listening styles into,in a qualitative way, analytic. global and synthetic styles; then asked to listen to three passages twice based on different types of test methods:MC. T/F/Not Given and limited production SAQ,which will study the two groups of interactive influence.This study indicates that there is no significant difference in these two groups of interaction, but the students with different listening styles have slightly different performances. |
