A Research On The Polyphones In Shuowenjiezizhu

Shuowenjiezi is the authoritative work of Chinese linguistics in our country. It has important academic value in the fields of philology,lexicology,phonology and critical interpretation of antient texts.Shuowenjiezizhu is the famous research work for Shuowen.Duanyucai narrated the meanings of characters,analysed the characters'form and differentiated the pronunciation of characters further,which are still worthy of in-depth reserch.Taking polyphones in Shuowen and Shuowenjiezizhu as research data, this paper classifies and sums up the language materials in that form. Find the style and source of these polyphones. On this basis,this paper makes a further study on differentiation of polyphones'meanings,the position of Tangyun when it is quoted and the pronunciation type of Xushen's polyphones.The research is important for us to understand the features of polyphones in Shuowen and Duanzhu.
