Wu Qian, character in Yi Fu and hao Lv Zhai, was a son of a high-rank governemnt officer. He won champion in Jinshi (a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations) in Jiading decades of Southern Song dynasty. He stayed twice on the position of prime minister in feudal China and his office life was over 40 years old. Wu Qian was a honest and outspoken person and he was also a genius in assisting ruling the kingdom. At the same time, he was also prolific in poems (including Ci poem) and articles. His 250 Ci poems were absorbed by All Song Dynasty Poem. He believed that perfect writing skills come from practice. However, little has been accounted about his achievement in poem and his life story as a famous officer and a great poet. The recently popular books like History of Chinese Literature don't give any introduction to him, either. This dissertation gives a comprehensive study on Wu Qian himself, his poems, as well as his articles. The content and artistic features of Wu Qian's works are analyzed and summarized in this dissertation. This dissertation gives Wu Qian an evaluation from a suitable literary perspective after a concrete research on his life story and political spirit. It also gives a all-side analysis on Wu Qian's works and his personalities which provid some help to Literature Research of Song Dynasty and Regional Cultural Research of Southeast Anhui.
