The Cultural Meaning Comparison Between Chinese And Ukrainian Red Color

The position of China in the world is getting stronger every day,so there is a lot of people who want to learn Chinese and get to know Chinese culture.From the teaching point of view,in order to learn Chinese,students need to understand Chinese culture,because language and culture are inseparable.The major of Teaching Chinese as a foreign language has developed a lot recently.Students of all nationalities start Chinese classes every day,and Ukraine is not an exception.At present,many Ukrainians are interested in Chinese,so the Chinese-Ukrainian comparative study will be very helpful for learners.This paper introduces the red culture in China and Ukraine,analyzes similar and different points of these two cultures,explains the cultural differences between,and has an implication for the cross-cultural communication.This thesis has three main parts.The first one is the ancient and modern history of the red connotation in China and Ukraine.This part explains the meaning of the red color in ancient China and Ukraine and the development of red culture in these two countries.The second part introduces red color in politics.This part explains the influence of politics on the concept of the red color and the evolution of the red culture.The third part introduces red culture in terms of society.This part includes three subheadings:wedding,festivals and the concept of appearance.According to these social aspects,this paper provides the analysis of the importance of red color in Chinese and Ukrainian society.
