Important status and positive application of Chinese PhoneticAlphabet in the teaching Chinese as a foreign language already approvedand accepted widely. But reseach of Chinese Phonetic Alphabet isintroducted slightly in Chinese pronunciation research. Reseach ofChinese Phonetic Alphabet itself application is few in the teachingChinese as a foreign language.The article has obtained the first information of Chinese PhoneticAlphabet's using situation in the teaching Chinese as a foreign languageby investigated Chinese Phonetic Alphabet's application scope,application form,phonetic notation and spelling situition in Chinesetestbook since 2000, by investigated Chinese Phonetic Alphabet'sunderstanding and application situation in foreign students of every leveland concurrent job teachers. Analying and summarying the investigationcontent and unfolding the result and question in the foreign teaching ofChinese Phonetic Alphabet, by studying predecessor's reseaechresults. And proposing the opinion and suggestion of improviing ChinesePhonetic Alphabet boldly.
