The State Wei was conferred in the initial stage of Western Zhou Dynasty. In all the conferred states, Wei has the characteristic as conferred before others and has large territory. In the Western Zhou period, Wei was prosperous to a great extent and acted as"dukes leader", and kept the Fangbo position for a long time. Wei Kangshu hold an important position at Western Zhou imperial court. He assisted the emperor in handling country affairs and stabilized the country. All these promoted Wei's fame and influence, which made it more important than other states such as Lu and Qi.During the period of Western Zhou, the long-term prosperity of Wei was achieved by a lot of factors. In politics, the duke was prosper wise and enterprising. For example, the first duke—Wei Kangshu, he was celebrated when he was conferred. And he engaged in politics. During his reign, Wei was stable and people were all well–off. The second duke—Kangbo Mao guarded the east and defended the Dongyi nation with the army YinbaShi. He made great achievements. Wei Wugong was well–known in Western Zhou's final time."Gonghe Xingzheng"was present his ability and talent and improved Wei's political statue. In his government, Wei was imperturbable and its history achieved the strongest period. All these dukes contributed to Wei's prosperity. In economy, Wei had fine condition to develop its agriculture, handicraft industry and commerce for his given at Yin Ruins, which created good foundation for Wei's economy improvement in Western Zhou period. Wei's governor utilized this condition to the fullest, so Wei's agriculture, handicraft industry and commerce kept further improvement. Wei's army was strong which based on its economy improvement and strong national power. In diplomacy, Wei was thought highly by Western Zhou imperial court for its strategic territory. It acted as Fangbo in the eastern land and held the post of Sikou in the Western Zhou imperial court that also improved Wei's influence in all states.In the Spring and Autumn period, Wei became feeble.
