Buddhism and Bon absorbed each other's content after Buddhism was introduced to the snow-land plateau in the seventh century.With the passage of time,Tibet developed its unique Tibetan Buddhism.Three great Buddhist kings of Tibet vigorously supported the cause of Buddhism and greatly promoted the development of Buddhism in Tibet.But in the nineth century,King Glang dar ma abolished Buddhism.Buddhism was persecuted in Tibet,causing Buddhism to be silenced in Tibet for more than 100 years.Various sects began to form after the revival of Buddhism.The Zhi byed pa Sect was formed in Tibet after the revival of the Buddhism.The founder of the Zhi byed pa Sect Pha dam pa sangs rgyas received many disciples to develop the Zhi byed pa Sect.Zhi byed pa,as an important part of Tibetan Buddhism,occupies a certain place in the history of Tibetan Buddhism.Later,with the development of time,Zhi bye pa declined;this was the result of a series of internal and external causes.This paper is discusses the content of the Zhi byed pa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism as its main object.This paper is divided into five chapters.In the preliminary part of the thesis,the research background,the research purpose,research significance,and research status at home and abroad will be discussed.The first chapter is an introduction to the background of the Zhi byed pa sect.This chaper focuses on the political and economic cultural background of the Zhi byed pa sect.The second chapter is an introduction to the founder of the Zhi byed pa sect and his disciples.In this chaper,I mainly describe the history of Pha dam pa sangs rgyas and his disciples,as well as the temples they built.The third chapter is a description of the characteristics of Zhi byed pa and three inheritors.In this chaper,I analyze the characteristics of Zhi byed pa from the teaching of the doctrines and study the history of the three inheritors according to historical documents.The fourth chapter is a description of the reasons for the decline of the Zhi byed pa sect.Zhi byed pa was subjected to a series of internal and external constraints and declined at the end of the fourteenth century.In this chapter,I mainly describe the causes of the decline of Zhi byed pa,both from internal and external perspectives.The fifth chapter is an introduction to the current situation of the Zhi byed pa monasteries in Dbus gthang.This chapter mainly focuses on the Glang vkor Monastery,the Gar ri Monastery,the Pha dam pa sangs rgyas' Monastery,and Mkhar dmar Monastery.Finally,I summarize the paper.
