| Objective:To observe the efficacy of Ziji ointment in alleviating complications after operation of downward flow damp-heat mixed hemorrhoids and promoting wound healing.Methods:Patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into two groups in accordance with principle of randomization. There were 30 patients in treatment group and 32 patients in comparison group. There was no difference between the two groups which used the same surgical and basic treatment in basic situation and disease situation before medication. Treatment group used Ziji ointment for daily medication from the first day after operation. The group of comparison group used Mayinglong Shexiang Hemorrhoids Ointment. Observed the situation of anal pain, bloody discharge and anal margin of edema, made assessments on the 2nd,4th,7th and 11th day and gave the overall evaluation of the two groups. Observed until the wounds healed completely and record the time.Result:The treatment group was superior to comparison group in alleviating anal pain on the 4th,7th and 11th day, alleviating bowel bleeding on the 2nd,4th and 7th day, and alleviating anal margin of edema on the 4th,7th and 11th day. The overall evaluation of treatment group was superior to the comparison group on the 11th day:there were 24 significant effects,6 effects, no invalid and was 100% total effective rate in treatment group; yet there were 14 significant effects,17 effects,1 invalid and was 96.90% total effective rate in comparison group. The healing time of treatment group was shorter than the comparison group:the treatment group were 18.43±3.002 days, yet the comparison group were 21.34±3.318 days.Conclusion:Ziji ointment is effective in alleviating postoperative complications of downward flow damp-heat mixed hemorrhoids and promoting wound healing. Its efficacy is superior to Mayinglong Shexiang Hemorrhoids Ointment. Ziji ointment is safe and effective, so that it could be promoted in clinical.
