| This article reviewed the knowledge and treatment experience related to avascular necrosis by Chinese medicine,with modern medicine on its etiology,pathology, diagnosis and treatment of domestic and international areas. It focused on development of mechanism and research of avascular necrosis by traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine.Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of Huoxue Zhuanggu Tang in treating early avascular necrosis and explore its mechanism and the pathogenesis of avascular necrosis to discuss an effective method to treat avascular necrosis with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:Select 40 patients who met the diagnosis for early (ARCO stageâ… -â…¡period) avascular necrosis, randomly divided into two groups. Treatment group,20 patients were treated with "Huoxue Zhuanggu Tang" treatment; While 20 patients in control group with "Xianlinggubao" capsule. Evaluate the improvement of clinical symptom according to the differences in scores before and after treatment by Harris score.Results:Clinical studies show that the clinical efficacy of treatment group which applied the Huoxue Zhuanggu Tang is significantly better than that of control group.20 cases in treatment group, total effectiveness was 100.00%,while the control group was 80.00%.Conclusion:Huoxue Zhuanggu Tang has more effective than Xianlin Gubao capsule in treating avascular necrosis based on the investigation of its mechanism in treating the disease in a short period of clinical observation.
