【Objective】The paper is to construct the health management decision support system on the basis of the integrated resources from the regional health information platform. The system can store and management the dispersed data. It will use data warehouse and data mining technology to realize the health management decision support functions and provide a good platform for analysis. That will make the health management decision support informatization, standardization, integration, and can effectively promote the regional medical scientific management.【Methods】The paper uses literature research method to analyze the current research status about decision support system and the implementation situation. Then we conduct in-depth interview with relevant health management decision-maker to determine the information demand and function demand of the system. On the basis of this, the paper designs the frame structure and function structure of the system. Finally, it designs the data warehouse of the selective three themes by the method of data warehouse designing.【Results】(1)Analyze the five major fields in health management decision-making, including medical service, public health, health resource management, basic medical security, blood management, and determine the contents and sources of the decision support information for each field;(2)Design the total structure, layered structure and function structure. The total structure includes business resource system, data exchange center, data management center and decision support service. The layered structure includes data source layer, data processing layer, data center layer, decision support layer and application layer. The function structure includes health service decision support subsystem, health resource decision support subsystem, health finance decision support subsystem, emergency command decision support subsystem, disease prevention and healthcare subsystem, other types of decision support subsystem, policy analysis subsystem and system maintenance and management subsystem;(3)Design the data structure of operation, staff and food poisoning fact table and relevant dimensional table. Create the operation multidimensional analysis dataset with ten metric value and ten dimensions, the staff multidimensional analysis dataset with six metric value and nine dimensions, the food poisoning multidimensional analysis dataset with seven metric value and seven dimensions; (4)Describe the contents of the data mining about operation, staff, food poisoning. The contents of operation theme include the surgery patients'characteristic analysis, the influence factors of successful surgery, the forecast of surgery sequel, the demands of the surgery and the influence factors of operation workload. The contents of staff theme include the analysis of staff recruitment, performance analysis, the factors of staff flowing and the characteristic analysis of excellent employee. The contents of food poisoning theme include the reasons of food poisoning, the symptoms of food poisoning and the abnormal cases of food poisoning.【Conclusions】(1)The decision support system is based on regional health information platform, which is in favor of satisfying the need of information. And the system is combining the data warehouse, on-line analytical processing and data mining together, which can achieve more effective decision-making support; (2)The decision support system have definite function, abundant dimension, detailing particle size and flexible show, which can satisfy the in-depth analysis about surgery, personnel, food poisoning theme from different dimensions. (3)The paper describes the contents of data mining, which can help health management decision-makers to analyze more information and conclusion through the data mining.
