With the development of pharmaceutical industry, more and more records are accumulated from the pharmaceutical distribution market, the difficulty of drug administration is increasing , and traditional database system has been unable to meet the increasing administration requirements. In order to solve this problem, analyses the characteristics of drug administration and the administration needs in depth, then applies the data warehouse and data mining techniques to the drug administration system to support decision. The main contents are as follows:1. This paper designs the structure of the drug data warehouse in details after doing the analysis of the structure of the current drug administration database and combining with the characteristics of drug administration and the principles of data warehouse technology.2. According to the characteristics and structure of current drug database and combining with the designed data warehouse, this paper designs and implements the ETL tools. Then does some researches of the Incremental data update solutions and an approach for detecting approximately duplicate Data Warehouse records. Besides, designs the model of data cubes and finishes the OLAP operations.3. This paper studies the theory and applications of decision tree algorithm and association rules algorithm in-depth, and uses these two algorithms into drug date in order to discovery the useful knowledge and support decision.4. Based on the previous theories, system analysis and the designs of solutions, this paper uses Microsoft's C# language and Microsoft SQL Server to achieve the decision support system of drug administration. The design and architecture of system, the implementation details of each module and the functions are also described.
