Inrecent years, the development of more focused on the entire clinical, laboratory, research,business process into a complete medical system, the complete system is built by amedical data warehouse, decision-making support, can play a more powerful role.Based on the above conditions and our practical work experience, the development of decision support systems have been severely affected by the hospital’s laggingdevelopment of information technology and management decision-making efficiency,thereby affecting hospital productivity. So we designed a stomatology hospital based datawarehouse decision support system for the various departments of the hospitalmanagement and provide a variety of information to support decision-making.Stomatology hospital decision support system framework used is based on DW (DataWarehouse)+OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing)+DM (Data Mining). Which, DWis to achieve data management, organization and storage, OLAP data is mainly focusedon analyzing, DM mainly automatic knowledge discovery. Architecture is divided intofour lowest level of direct access to the data layer, the data source contains a patientinformation, drug information, patient information. These direct access to the datathrough the clean-up, extraction, conversion, etc. After processing, data storage layer intothe second layer. Data storage layer is mainly about data processing, the decision toprovide comprehensive data and decision-making theme based on the actual needs, andthen reorganized to provide a lot of data to support decision-making support. The thirdlayer is the data processing layer, data processing layer mainly through DM and OLAP,which the DW obtain the desired knowledge and information. Last layer is the data accesslayer, data access layer is to provide access to decision-makers interact with the system.Through man-machine interface, the data processing layer in which knowledge andinformation obtained to show the user’s eyes, which contains formatting query, the userinteraction and generate charts and reports and so on. This architecture can streamlinebusiness database load, reducing operational system maintenance and upgrade costs andworkload, improve efficiency in the use of business systems.Through the development and construction of the system in improving the quality ofmedical management, but also the history of the hospital data were structured,complementary and finishing. Analysis of management decision-making at all levels ofthe hospital particularity, and accordingly proposed for the stomatology hospital decisionsupport systems overall model and system framework. According to various department ofthe national standards and their own recommendations, including hospital admissions integration, operation, cost, disease, antimicrobial drug use and other aspects, and itsanalysis were assessed. In thefuture, taking into account the construction of decision support systems characteristicspiral gradually building, Taking into account the Stomatology Hospital and the medicalindustry information system status, the complete decision support system, we will learnfrom different departments managers suggested that in future work to optimize the systemcomponents, highlighting the protection of privacy of patients and physicians for thefuture regional development of decision support platform as a foundation. Re-design theuser interface make it more concise, and gives more user-defined functions, and improvethe stomatology knowledge management system security features of decision support.
