Object: To observe the rapid analgesic effect of treating periarthritis of shoulder by wrist-ankle acupuncture , and provide reference for acupuncture treatment of frozen shoulder.Methods: The 60 patients met the inclusion criteria were randomized into two shoulder periarthritis treated 30 patients and the control group of 30 patients, the treatment group to wrist-ankle acupuncture, point taken on the affected side 4, on 5, 6 ,on the control group to take regular Acupuncture, Point taken ipsilateral shoulder Yu, Chen-shoulder, the shoulder before the Ashi point, Yanglingquan, Zhongping point, two groups were left needle 30min. Using visual analog scale pain scores, patients were observed and recorded before acupuncture, acupuncture 5min, 15min, 30min value of the pain, the patient's pain improvement were assessed using nimodipine.Result: After two needle 5min, 15min and 30min, VAS values than those before treatment were significantly different (P<0.05), after treatment less than before treatment; treatment group and control group in the VAS values 5min after the needle has a very significant (P<0.001), 15min and 30min after the needle of the VAS values were significantly different (P<0.05), the treatment group less than the control group; 5min after the two groups overall response rate of needles were significantly different (P<0.05), treatment group was higher, needle 15min and 30min after the overall response rate was no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion: Wrist-ankle acupuncture treatment for frozen shoulder is better than conventional rapid analgesic effect of acupuncture.
