The Clinical Observation Of Effect Of DaCaiHuTang And HuangQiGuiZhiWuWuTang In Treating Diabetic Peri-pheral Neurpathy

Background:In companion with China's rapid economic development,the incidence of Type-2 Diabetes is rocketing in all social classes. As one of the common complications, diabetic peripheral neurpathy(or DPN) has caused major damage to people's health aggressively, however, there is no reliable and effective treatment in modern medicine. Traditional Chinese Medicine(or TCM) has existed for about 5 thousand years, it has enormous experience in tackling with different kinds of diseases, perhaps we can find out some useful therapies from it.Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect and safeness of DaCaiHuTang and HuangQiGuiZhiWuWuTang in treating DPN, and discussing its possible functional mechanisms in order to provide some reference for further research.Method:With random comparison,50 patients who are qualified according to diagnositic standards were divided randomly into 2 groups, treatment group will be given the TCM, the contrast group given the medicine (Mecobalamin), setting 2 weeks as one treatment, data including symptoms,signs and the laboratory indicators were collected. then they were analyzed with scientific statistic methods.Results:After completing one treatment, all the collected data such as symptoms-, nerve conduction velocity,blood viscosity were improved both in the treatment group and contrast group. both changes were statistically significant(P<0.05 or P<0.01). However, by contrast,the outcome of the treatment group is better than the contrast one, P<0.05 after going through the T test.Conclusion:The overall clinical curative results of TCM has no obvious side effect.it costs less,and is convenient to make, so it can be easily accepted by patients. Modern pharmacology research confirmed that DaCaiHuTang and HuangQiGuiZhiWuWuTang have various and complex curative effects to the body, such as reducing the blood pressure, regulating the lipid metabolism, controlling the blood glucose, improving the microcirculation, countering platelet aggregation, etc. it fully shows that TCM has more advantages overall, we should put more efforts into further study.
