Astragalus Gui Zhi Wu Wu Tang Treating Diabetic Peripheral Vascular Disease Clinical Research

Objective: PAD(Peripheral Arterial Disease) in people with diabetes,one of the common chronic complications of diabetes,becomes one of the important reasons of diabetic foot.Yet by now Modern Medicine has no direct and effective drugs.Many researches found it is effective to treat it by the combination of TCM and Modern Medicine.Our research was to observe and confirm the effect of Huangqiguizhiwuwutang formula on PAD in people with diabetes,and by combination Modern Medicine at the same time. Methods: Thirty patients were chosen by certain standards,taken two months as a period of treatment. After two months, the clinical manifestations, the glucose,the bloold fat, the blood viscosity, the peak flow velocity, the mean velocity, the inside-diameter of bloold vessel were all observed by the method of self-contrast before and after treatment.Result: After 2 months treatment,18 cases become clinical cure, 6 cases become remarkable curative effect. 3 cases become certain effect ,and 3 cases have no effect .The rate of total effect was 90.0%.Conclusion: The way that treats PAD in people with diabetes,by Huangqiguizhiwuwutang formula and the combination of TCM and Modern Medicine can improve clinical manifestations obviously, has definite effect, and worth popularizing.
