Objective:To investigate the expression of protein kinase C isoforms betaⅡ(PKCβⅡ),epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) and Ki67 in gastric carcinoma, explore their relationship with pathologic features,to know the biology behavioral trait of gastric carcinoma. Methods:Immunohistochemical technique(S-P) was used to detect the expre-ssion of PKCβⅡ,EGFR and Ki67 in 105 samples of gastric carcinoma and their adjacent normal gastric tissues, the data were then analyzed in collaboration with the pathological features of patients. Results:The positive expression rate of PKCβⅡin the carcinoma and the normal tissues of gastric was 62.86%(66/105)and 44.76%(47/105), which had significant difference(P<0.05).While the positive expression rate of EGFR was 46.67%(49/105) and 7.62%(8/105),which had significant difference(P<0.05).And the positive expression rate of Ki67 was 80%(84/105)and 34.29%(36/105),which had significant difference(P<0.05).The expressive of both PKCβⅡand EGFR were related to the depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, the clinical stage and different tissue types (P<0.05), no correlation existed with gender and age(P>0.05).Conclutions:The expre-ssion of PKCβⅡ,EGFR and Ki67 was higher in carcinoma of stomach than that in normal tissue, which had correlation with tumor cell types and the depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis and clinical TNM stages. The expression of PKCβⅡ,EGFR and Ki67 were related to the development of gastric cancer.
