OBJECTIVEDetection the serum levels of Carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125), Osteopontin (OPN), Human Epididymis Protein 4(HE4) in the patients with EOC, borderline ovarian tumors, benign ovarian tumor and healthy women, respectively. Analysis the differences of levels to explore its value for the early diagnosis of EOC, the EOC's benign and malignant, the relationship to the histological type of EOC when their single screening and joint in section.METHODSThe serum levels of OPN and HE4 in EOC(80 case), borderline ovarian tumors(16 case), benign ovarian tumor(55 case) and healthy women controls(50 case) were ascertained by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)。Collected the clinical data of the corresponding period patients with ovarian tumor, record its serum level of CA125, histological type and pathological stageRESULTS1.The serum levels of CA125, OPN and HE4 in EOC group and borderline ovarian tumors were significantly higher than the benign epithelial ovarian tumor group and healthy women group (P<0.05, respectively),but the comparison of the serum levels of CA125, OPN and HE4 were no statistically significant between the former two groups and between the latter two groups (P>0.05, respectively).2.In single test, the sensitivity(82.50%), specificity(89.10%), positive predictive value (91.67%), negative predictive value (68.69%) and early diagnosis rate of OPN for EOC is highest;the specificity(51.00%) and early diagnosis rate(37.04%) of CA125 for EOC is lowest; the sensitivity of HE4 (73.75%)for EOC is lower than CA125(78.75%).3. In the joint test, the specificity(80.00%) and early diagnosis rate(81.48%) of CA125+OPN were highest, the sensitivity(93.75%) after the joint of three (95.00%),but the specificity of latter was lowest(56.36%); the Sensitivity(90.00%) and early diagnosis rate(70.37%) of CA125+HE4 for EOC is higher than the single test, respectively, and the specificity(70.90%) of it is higher than CA 125(51.00%) single.4. The serum levels of CA125 and HE4 in serous cystadenocarcinoma group were significantly higher than the mucinous cystadenocarcinoma group and endometrioid carcinoma group (P< 0.05, respectively), The serum levels of OPN were no statistically significant between the former and the two latter groups(P>0.05); The serum levels of CA125,HE4 and OPN were also no statistically significant between endometrioid carcinoma and mucinous cystadenocarcinoma(P>0.05, respectively).CONCLUSIONS1. The serum levels of CA125, OPN and HE4 all could be used as the important tumor markers of EOC.2. When the OPN, HE4 were single or combined determinationed with CA125, the early diagnosis rate of EOC all could be greatly improved, the CA125+OPN can hopefully become the best combination for the ealy detection of EOC, especially.3. The CA125+HE4 have great significance in the discrimination of EOC differential histologic type.
