Observation To The Efficacy Of The Urinary Tract Infection With Damp-heat Flow Downward Treated By The Modified Fulingpi Decoction

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is the disease of urinary system occurred frequently. The main clinical manifestions are urgent, frequent scorching and pain urinary. UTI is induced by germs, in which gram-negative bacteria of intestinal tract is the most common. It is treated by antibiotics and hasn't satisfying therapeutic efficacy because of drug resistant and allergic response. So it's one of the most important tasks to prevent and treat UTI.Traditional Chinese Medicine has stable efficacy and has always effect on patients who weren't effect to antibiotics, so the research of the therapeutic efficacy with Traditional Chinese Medicine on Urinary Tract Infection is needed and will have significant social and economic returns. Urinary Tract Infection belongs to stranguria. There are various recognition about the causes of stranguria in past dynasties. Damp-heat in bladder is accepted generally and used to be the key pathogenesis to diagnose and treat stranguria up to now. Because of its geography and climate, UTI with damp-heat in bladder is occurred frequently in Fujian, Taiwan and Lingnan. Bladder locates the low energizer. Fulingpi decoction was made by Wu Jutong, one of the four masters in febrile seasonal diseases. It's the representative decoction of separate and eliminate turbid damp in low energizer and hit the point of the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection with Damp-heat Flow Downward. Baizhu(largehead atractylodesrhizome) and Yizhiren(semen amomi amari) is added to warm spleen and kidney and transform qi and promote water according to the deficiency of spleen and kidney in UTI patients. We observed the clinical efficacy of the Urinary Tract Infection with Damp-heat Flow Downward treated by the Modified Fulingpi Decoction, provided scientific foundation for its further exploitation. This observation has clinical meaning to a certain extent.ObjectiveTo study the pathogenesis and therapeutic mechanism through the observation of the efficacy and index changes of "modified Fulingpi decoction" in the treatment of the Urinary Tract Infection with damp-heat flow downward.Method60 out-patients were divided into control group and treatment group. Examined and compared the symptoms signs, uronoscopy and the clinical efficacy. Test the indices of CD4+%,CD8+%,CD4+/CD8+ in peripheral blood and sIgA in urine. SPSS13.0 microsoft is used to analyze.Results1) Comparing to control group, the modified Fulingpi decoction could meliorate urination frequently, urgently and sorely and decreased white cells and bacterial number in urination, and the difference was significant (P<0.05).2) The difference of clinical efficacy between two groups were significant (P<0.05).3) Comparing to before treatment, treat groups of CD4+%,CD8+%,CD4+/CD8+ increased after treatment, and the differences were significant (P<0.05). The differences of CD4+%,CD8+% between two groups were significant (P <0.05), but the difference of CD4+/CD8+ wasn't significant (P>0.05).4) Comparing to control group, the modified Fulingpi decoction decreased white cells and bacterial number in urination, and the difference was significant (P<0.05).ConclusionThe Modified Fulingpi Decoction is quite effective for the Urinary Tract Infection with damp-heat flow downward. It can meliorate urination frequently, urgently and sorely and decreased white cells and bacterial number in urination. It can modify the whole or part immunity, too. The Modified Fulingpi Decoction hasn't side effects and is worthy clinical popularization.
