Study On The Effect Of Softening Hardness And Dissipating Mass On Atherosclerosis

Objective:Atherosclerosis is a chronic arterial disease, and the principal pathological basis of coronary heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular disease is atherosclerosis. The majority Patients is the aged. Atherosclerosis is one of the most Prevalent fatal diseases. xinmaikang extract have got good effect in hardness-softening and mass-dissipating therapy.To evaluate the preventive and therapeutic effect of therapy of softening hardness and dissipating mass for atherosclerosis, we study on the effect of xinmaikang extract on clinical and Experimental Atherosclerosis in Rabbits.Methods:(1) Sixty patients of AS and hyperlipidemia were divided randomly into treatment group(30 cases) and control group(30 cases) by Color Doppler ultrasound. Patients in the treatment group were given xinmaikang extract, and the other group were treated by xuezhikang capsule. Three months was a course of treatment. Changes of TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C and Intima-media thickness of the artery were observed after the treatment. Meanwhile we monitored Adverse Drug Reaction.(2) Rabbits were feed with high fatty food for 6 weeks. Followed with xinmaikang extract feeding for 12 weeks, by HE, Sudan III staining, the artery morphology was observed and the thickness and area of intima versus media were measured.Results:(1) After three months, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 80%, which was significantly better than those of the control group. Meanwhile, xinmaikang extract had the function of decreasing TC, TG, LDL-C, and HDL-C was no significant change. The effect of the treatment group on decreasing TG was higher than that of the control group. The effect of the xinmaikang extrat of atherosclerotic plague regression was remarkably after treatments, which were statistically different compared with those of the control group.(2) Compared with the model group, the ratio of thickness of and area of intima versus media in medicine groups were decreased significantly(P<0.01)。The prevention group has better effect. The effect in xinmaikang treatment group and prevention group were significantly better than that in xuezhikang capsule groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion:the concerning test results (intima-mediathickness, Low Density Lipoprotein, High Density Lipoproteins)shows the therapy plays a good role in the treatment of the treatment of the atherosclerotic disease. xinmaikang extract is an ideal, effective and safe medicine in preventing and treating hyperlipoidemia and atherosclerosis,To supply new option with increasing stability of As plaque and Atherosclerosis prevention and cure.
