ObjectiveEvaluate the therapeutic effect and mechanism of therapy of Hardness-softening and Mass-Dissipating for Left Ventricular Hypertrophy.MethodsSixty Hypertensive and Left Ventricular Hypertrophy Patients were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group. Each group was given the same mordern-western medicine (Lotenxin10mg Qd) for three months, while the treatment group was given the Hardness-softening and Mass-Dissipating Prescription Xinmaikang(Xinmaikang3#Tid). Blood Pressure of both group’s patients were measured once a week. The Doppler ultrasonic cardiogram index and the contents of Cys-C, BNP, Ang I and ALD were measured before the treatment.Results①Patients’Basic ConditionMale Patients in group was51.67%, while female was48.33%. Age of onset was between the age of51and70mostly. There were no differences (P>0.05) of the sex and age between two groups.②Situation of Blood Pressure ControllingThere were no differences (P>0.05)of the Blood Pressure between the two groups following therapy for three months. In the control group,7patients needed to add Lotenxin20mg,9patients needed to add HTC12.5mg to help controlling blood pressure。In the treatment group,3patients needed to add Lotenxin lOmg,2patients needed to add HTC12.5mg③The Doppler ultrasonic cardiogram index The Doppler ultrasonic cardiogram index of LVM and LVMI of each group have significant difference (P<0.05) after the treatment compared with pre-treatment, that showed the managements of both groups could improve Patients’Left Ventricular Hypertrophy. After the treatment, LVM and LVM1of the treatment group is better than the control group,with significant difference(p<0.05), that showed the treatment group could improve LVH better than the control group.④AngⅠ、ALD、Cys-C and BNP indexAfter the treatment, the contents of Cys-C, BNP, Ang I and ALD of both groups reduced, showing significant difference (p<0.05).the Cys-C of the treatment group was significant difference with the control group(p<0.05).ConclusionThe Hardness-softening and Mass-Dissipating Prescription Xinmaikang may improve Left Ventricular Hypertrophy.The mechanism maybe related to①reduce the Blood Pressure directly;②keep the Blood Pressure stable by improving sleeping quality;③decrease inflammation expression, hyperplasia of collage and connective tissue.
