Clinical Study On Effect Of Gu Yi Decoction On Acute Sprain Of Anlkle

Objective:To treat the acute sprain of anlkle through Gu-Yi Decoction, and observe clinical effect between the group of Gu-Yi Decoction the control group of chinese medicine and the control group of western medicine according to clinical symptoms and signs of before and after treatment. To prove that Gu-Yi Decoction has better effects and advantages than other drugs.Methods:In August 2010 to January 2011,60 cases of acute ankle sprain came from the foshan hospital of traditional chinese medicine, those patients were included into study. All patients were randomly divided into the treatment group given Gu-Yi Decoction; the the control group of chinese medicine given Yunnan Bai yao Jiaonang and Qu Shang Pian; the control group of western medicine given the Diclofenac Sodium Enteric-coated Tablets and the Composite Chlorzoxazone Tablets. In addition to the above three groups of patients with oral medication, but then given basic treatment, including apply injured ankle with Bai Yao and fixed the injured ankle with brace. And wash the injured ankle with ShuJin Particles after 5 days of treatment. The three groups were given 15 days of treatment. Scores of pain, tenderness, swelling and function were recorded before, the fifth day and the tenth day and the fifteenth day after treatment. The data was analysis to compare the clinical effect of the three different Treatments.Results:The three different treatments had exact effect on acute ankle sprains.There was no difference among the three treatments in the total effective rate and curative rathe. However, the treatment group and the the control group of chinese medicine were more effective than the control group of western medicine in removing the swelling and improving the function of injured ankle. Besides,the treatment group and the control group of western medicine were more effective than the control group of chinese medicine in removeing pain and tenderness of injured ankle.In addition, the treatment group and the the control group of chinese medicine were safer than the control group of western medicine.Conclusion:Gu-Yi Decoction can treat acute ankle sprain effectively.It can remove pain and the swelling and improve the function of injured ankle. It is an affordable, convenient and safe drug.It's worth popularized in clinic.
